You can use the Analog Numeric or the slider object to adjust the Backlight Brightness level. You just need to place the object of your choice on the screen and hook it up to the 'SystemTagBacklightBrighnessLevel' System tag.

The windows controls are not optimized for use in iX developer and can be a bit buggy. If you would like to continue exploring options for this functionality, it will likely need to be done through script. Feel free to give us a call at 801.708.6690 for additional support.

Scripting is required to remove the popup windows border. I have attached a project showing example code that can be used to achieve the desired effect. The appearance 'enabled' checkbox, when unchecked, will gray out the object and make it so the object can not be selected.

The easiest way to determine the number of items in a text library is to export the text library to an excel file.

Characters can not be limited in the text box object. However, the analog numeric object can be set to 'string', with a limited number of characters and can be manipulated to look like a text box.
