Array of booleans between X2 Pro and Beckhoff PLC

Post by Bernardino »

I have an HMI X2 Pro 12 connected to a Beckhoff PLC using ADS Symbolic driver.

We have a lot of array of boleans defined on the PLC and defined on the IX Developer as shown on the attachment.

We are using those boolean tags to change dynamic object properties as for example "Fill Color Dynamics". The fact is that sometimes those tags stop updating its value from the PLC.
Only when i restart the HMI those tags are updated and then they work correctly for sometime. Those tags have already the "Always Active" option checked and still the same issue occurs without any error display.

Is there any workaround to this issue or something that might be wrong on the definition of the tag?

Hi Bernardino,

Do you have all your tags on the same Poll group? You may try moving those bool tags or other more critical tags to a different poll group to see if that helps.

Thanks,
Best regards,

Hi Russ C.

I have all tags on the same Poll group. I have already increased the Interval value on the Poll Group used from 500 to 1000 and still same situation hapenned.
One fact is that we never notice this happening on the alarm tags (defined as booleans on the PLC). Only in these booleans defined as an array of booleans on the PLC and after a while of the HMI start running again.

Dont know if it is relevant but i am using the IX Developer 2.3 SP1.
