Layout Object copy/paste retain name

I am fairly new to iX Developer, and I am having some annoyances with its user interface.

My main issue is that, when copy/pasting a layout object within the same screen, the tag name is reset to the object type. E.g. a button named "Button_Exit" will be renamed "Button", or "Button01" if "Button already exists.

Is there a way for iX Developer to keep the object name when it is being copied?

Currently, there is no way around the copied object's name being reset, however, we will reach out to our engineering team and submit this as an improvement request. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
