Hi i have a T7A screen, and i am trying to upload a Mitsubishi plc program through it.
I have created a virtual Com port on my computer to talk to the screen through the Ethernet cable, and set the routing options to transparent and Com 2. How ever i cannot connect to the PLC, does anyone have any tips.

Which MELSEC driver are you using? According to the documentation for the MELSEC A-CPU driver communication via routing is not support using the PLC programming tool for the TxA/TxB units.
Have you check the routing section of the driver documentation for the particular driver you are using to see if it mentions whether or not PLC programming is supported when using routing?
Also, COM2 is a RS-422/485 port, not a 232 port.

If you are connecting to the PLC via Ethernet than you do not need to go through your screen to program the PLC. You can just plug your PC into the same swtich.
The Fx3U-ENET does not have a transparency mode and will not allow you to program the PLC through the HMI. The help file with the driver tells you whether or not the driver has a transparency mode. It must have a transparency mode for you to be able to program the PLC through the HMI screen.

Hi
FX3U-ENET even FX3U-ENET-ADP have transparency mode. You only need MELFA GX Works2 ( ver.8.89 or more ).
If you are seting routing on T7A you need set port 5551 ( for FX3U-ENET for FX3U-ENET-ADP you need to select port 5556 ).
You can upload/douwnload a Mitsubishi plc program. Only need to set up routing and right port.
