System Tag Communication error or Message

when disabling the messages (upper left corner) when a communication error happens, the error will not show (which is OK) but the error also dissapears from the system. There is no way to see (using labels) if the error is been generated.

any ideas?

I have the same question. I have a CPU that communicates with the HMI over Ethernet and another device that communicates with the HMI over RS232. My CPU has no way of knowing if I have lost communications with my RS232 device. Is there something in Script that I can use if a Comm Error is generated (even if the Comm Error is disables and is not showing as the original questioner suggests)?
