How to transfer a project in iX Developer to an iX operator terminal using a portable USB flash drive.

Open your project in iX Developer. Under the "Project" tab, select the "Transfer" button that has a folder icon.

This creates a directory called "Project" where an executable and DLL's needed by the operator terminal are stored. Source code is not copied to this folder.

Remove the USB flash drive from your PC and insert into an iX operator terminal that is turned off.

Apply power to the terminal. A dialog will appear for a few seconds during start up with the text
Copy project from USB memory?
Select "Yes" before the dialog disappears. If you do not press "Yes" in time, cycle the power on the terminal and try again.

Wait while the project is copied from the USB stick and loaded. This can take a few minutes.

If you then want to send the compiled project files to another user over e-mail, take all the files on the USB stick, zip them up and e-mail the .zip file. The receiver of the file can then unzip them onto another USB stick which can be used with an iX panel.

If the .zip is too big for e-mail or gets blocked by a fire wall, you can use a service such as "sendspace" (http://www.sendspace.com/) to send the file.
