Set Background Colour for Blinking Object

Hi,

I noticed that when I use the blink animation, my object basically toggles between visible and invisible. Is there anyway to set a background colour for my object, so that it blinks between two colours for example rather than appearing and disappearing?

An easy way to do this would to be create a copy of the object change its background then align it over top of the original, then have the top object blink statically or dynamically.

The other option would be to set the background dynamic of an object, then toggle the "Tag1" on an interval.
